At Restore Counseling & Recovery, we are fortunate to have a team of dedicated and compassionate clinicians who work tirelessly to support our clients on their journeys toward healing and growth. This week, we are excited to shine a light on Carli Recker, MSW, LSW, whose warmth, expertise, and thoughtful approach to therapy have made her a valued member of our team.
Carli is a Licensed Social Worker with a Master of Clinical Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago, where she specialized in mental health. With years of experience in the field, Carli has worked with diverse clients across all stages of life, from adolescents to senior adults. Her therapeutic philosophy is rooted in helping individuals live engaged and meaningful lives by blending insight-oriented psychotherapies and mindfulness with practical behavioral therapies.
Carli provides a safe and compassionate space for clients to address challenges such as: chronic pain, depression, life transitions, interpersonal issues, grief, and eating disorders, among others.
Carli's ability to deeply connect with her clients and meet them where they are has earned her a reputation for being an empathetic and flexible therapist. Her approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing is deeply personal. She strives to create authentic human connections with her clients, helping them explore their unique hopes, challenges, and strengths.
Born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, Carli cherishes her roots in the community. She is a proud mother of three children and enjoys spending her free time cheering on her son at baseball games, listening to Taylor Swift with her daughters, and volunteering. A lifelong learner, she often has several books on the go at once.
Carli says, "Healing doesn't happen via theory. It lies in you—your hopes, hardships, successes, and infinite wisdom."
We are proud to have Carli as part of our team and grateful for the compassionate care she brings to Restore Counseling & Recovery.
